Southampton General Hospital

I now have a PICK Line, where they can direct antibiotics within a few centimetres of the infected area. Which they have now located as being at the base of the aorta and a few centimetres away from the new valve.

This line also allows for blood to be taken from around the infected area so that they can see how I am doing.

My taste buds are shot to pieces because of the antibiotics and everything apart from porridge tastes of salt.

A dietician is coming to see me on Monday to see if they can find me food that is palatable.

As I'm not eating enough (not through want of trying), my sugar levels are ridiculously low around 3 to 5. My norm is about 9.

So there we have it, I'm still here and most likely for another week at least. 🙄
