Ferrybridge

More April showers, though today was far from showery, as a south-easterly breeze of around 30mph, brought in constant drizzle for most of the day.

A quick pit stop at Ferrybridge revealed, unsurprisingly, just 8 bird species.

Birds Recorded:
1 Cormorant
3 Herring Gull
1 Pied Wagtail
1 Carrion Crow
1 Starling
3 House Sparrow
1 Chaffinch
2 Linnet

An adult Cormorant bobbing about on one of the buoys in the Fleet.

This Herring was sat on the pontoon at Ferrybridge, but............

.........flew off to look for a dryer spot no doubt.

An adult male Starling keeping one leg dry!!

Plants Recorded:
Thrift (Armeria maritima)

Thrift or Sea Pink as it's also known by. More on this plant Here.
