The weather forecast was for rain spreading east from midday onwards, so it was a quick breakfast and out before it arrived.
It was a slight change of route today, and one which I might keep doing for awhile. Yesterday there was an influx of warblers seen on the island including a few Grasshopper Warblers. So with that in mind the route took me through some good stopping points for them.
Unfortunately not today and looking back at past records, the beginning of May looks more promising.
What I did come across was my first Common Whitethroat of the year in Wakeham Meadow.
