Tout Quarry

Well the weather started off dry and sunny, but just like yesterday, the clouds rolled in again with rain following later. It was a bit like Groundhog Day!!!

I was hoping to find a few "blue" butterflies, but as the sun disappeared any hopes of finding anything different than Common Blues went out the window.

However it wasn't all gloom and doom, and there were other butterflies on the wing with 1 Large Skipper, 4 Large White, 3 Wall Brown, 8 Painted Lady and 4 Small Tortoiseshell

Also by the car park was this "ringed" Greenfinch. And he wasn't alone, with at least another 7 Greenfinches sat on the bushes close-by.

General Shots:

There was quite a swell today and there was a fair bit of "scum" on the surface.

The swell saw a few surfers trying their luck in Chesil Cove.
