This afternoon it was a visit to Dawn's Caravan at Littlesea to drop of some furniture and then a walk from Furzedown Farm to Lynch Cove via Tidmoor Cove.
Talk about bad timing though. Having done all my chores, Ted and I set off just a fine drizzle began to fall. It wasn't much at first, but by the time we got Tidmoor Cove it was chucking it down.
It was a real shame, as one of the highlights was a trio of birds that you wouldn't have thought of seeing together in the corner of one of the horse paddocks. First there was a Wheatear, which was then joined by a Green Woodpecker and then a few seconds later they were joined by a male Common Redstart. Unfortunately it was to wet for a group photo.
