A very late afternoon walk around the "block", but there were some good highlights with a mouse under one of the metal sheets where I normally find Slow-worms, a pair of Stocks Doves in Bumpers Lane Quarry, a Great Spotted Woodpecker along the Wakeham Railway Cuttings where there was also a Chiffchaff singing.

I kept very still and was able to record it looking at me.

A pair of Stock Doves in Bumpers Lane Quarry
Wherever you are on Portland, you will still hear Robins singing.
A male Blackbird and a........
.........female looking for food.
This Chiffchaff was calling and occasionally singing along Wakekam Railway Cuttings.
Its not just Robins singing, but also male Chaffinches.
A Goldfinch along Bumpers Lane.
Bees Recorded:
2 Buff-tailed Bumblebee (Bombus terrestris)
Plants:
Primrose (Primula vulgaris)
Bluebell (Hyacinthoides non-scripta)
Primroses
These Bluebells are turning pink. The only time I have seen this happen before, is when Wood Ants sprayed formic acid over the flowers.
