Verne Common

And today I went somewhere completely different on the island in search of a Hoopoe seen early afternoon. Unfortunately after a good walk around Verne Common, it was nowhere to be seen.

Only highlights here were a pair of Stonechats with an absolutely pristine looking male, and 3 Chiffchaffs calling.

A very agitated male Great Tit. Nothing to do with me.
