Another waiting game this afternoon and eventually it paid off as the mobile Long-tailed Tit flock made its way down to Church Ope Cove. And with them the Yellow-browed Warbler for the 3rd day running. Also with the flock were 2 Goldcrests, 1 Firecrest, Great Tits and Blue Tits. They didn't stay long behind the huts and the best views were when they all moved up to the scrubland below Cove Holiday Park Here.
Also about the resident Pied and Grey Wagtails on the beach, where there were just 4 Wrens flitting about the stones and pebbles. Also here 1 Rock Pipit and a Herring Gull.
Elsewhere a Water Rail calling from the pool area off Broadcroft Quarry Lane as I was making my way home, 2 Meadow Pipits in the Horse Field close-by and a Sparrowhawk at speed over the hedgerow.
Here are a few photos from this afternoon:
Just behind the huts on Church ope Cove is an excellent spot for Firecrests travelling with the Long-tailed Tits.
A bit further along Chesil Cove in the scrubland under Cove Holiday Park was where the Yellow-browed Warbler was toady with the Long-tailed Tits.
On the beach the female Pied wagtail again and......
....her mate.
Not forgetting the resident Grey Wagtail.
The view looking north over Church Ope Cove
