The Fleet

I went back to the The Fleet this afternoon, just in case the Ross's Gull was about, but as I arrived a tweet in that it was at Radipole. I wondered why it was so quiet hear on the Fleet. Not much about as the tide came in, 8 Ringed Plovers were the main highlights along with 17 Brent Geese and a Skylark sing by the Chesil Beach Centre again.

Two more..........

.........and another keeping low and out of that biting easterly wind.

All eight Ringed Plovers at The Fleet.

A 2nd Winter Herring Gull

Here are a selection of Herring Gulls of different ages.

Wakeham

Apart from an absence of 2 days the female Blackcap has now been visiting the back garden since 30 Jan. Also on the feeders this morning Great Tits, Robin and Goldfinches.

Not brilliant photos.......

.....but here are a couple of the female Blackcap.

She's not the only bird enjoying the suet pellets. Here on the left is a Robin and on the right a Dunnock.

This afternoon the sun came out and the female Blackcap was still tucking into those suet pellets.

The female Blackcap in the sun for a change

And a Goldfinch.
