After a very noisy morning with many lightening strikes close to Portland, the sun did eventually emerge this afternoon. But having committed myself to staying in to catch up on the housework, I only ventured out into the back garden late afternoon.

On the Lavender Lavandula sp. a Small White Pieris rapae
My first Bloxworth Snout Hypena obsitalis this year.
Also on Lavender was this solitary Common Carder Bee Bombus pascuorum
And on the leaf of this Nasturtium Tropaeolum majus is a Large White caterpillar Pieris brassicae.
