What a miserable day and the best I could do was a quick look around the garden to see what was about. And it will come as no surprise when I say very little, especially when the drizzle began to fall again.

Here are a few photos from this afternoon.

For the first time since the Lavender Lavandula sp. has been in flower it was bee-less!!

I did catch up with a Common Carder Bee Bombus pascuorum in the flowerbed, but it didn't stay long.....

................unlike this Common Wasp Vespula vulgaris which was very interested in this Oak leaf.

And something which definitely wasn't going to disappear in a flash, was this caterpillar of this Large White Pieris brassicae.
