Old Quarry Lane, Wakeham Wildlife Site and Wakeham Meadows

I haven't given up on visiting Chesil Cove, but with a busy day at home, it meant I wasn't able to visit today. Hopefully a trip tomorrow.

With that strong westerly still blowing hard, it was difficult to find anything of note. However coming across a pristine male Common Blue was an interesting find. It is most likely to be a second brood, but it could possibly be a third brood, especially here in the south.

What was noticeable was the absence of any "White" butterflies, but I did come across singles of Small Copper and Speckled Wood.

On the bird front a lone Chiffchaff was the only migrant noted.
