It was back in the garden today and I am glad I did as I came across my first Pellitory Beauty Cosmopterix pulchrimella for this year. This leaf mining moth is a relatively new moth to our shores, with the first one ever recorded in Walditch, Dorset. in October 2001

Another highlight was watching a Palmate Newt "wriggling" about in the "Tractor Tyre" pond
