Here are a few photos and a video from in and around the garden today.

One of the two Swifts which passed over the garden

Looking through the Cherry Tree I could see a juvenile Great Tit on the bird feeder.

A juvenile House Sparrow sat in the Buddleia............

................. waiting for mum to come and feed him.

Red Admiral Vanessa atalanta basking on an Oak leaf.

And then feeding on the nectar from this Buddleia.

Before flying off to another flower.

A Honey Bee Apis mellifera in amongst the lavender.

Vagrant Hoverfly Eupeodes corollae.

Common Dronefly Eristalis tenax with a Greenbottle Lucilia sp. looking down at it.

A Syrphus hoverfly sp.

Common Red Soldier Beetle Rhagonycha fulva
