Old Quarry Lane, Wakeham Wildlife Site and Wakeham Meadows

It was another walk around my local patch and the same/different Chiffchaff was calling from the same spot as yesterday. Overhead two House Martins drifted slowly south.

I also recorded 12 butterfly species, which included a Wall Brown Lasiommata megera and a Small Blue Cupido minimus.

And finally, just to show that sometimes you don't have to go looking for insects. If you just wait awhile they will come to you. A male Common Blue and a hoverfly, possibly a Common Spotted Field Syrph Eupeodes luniger on my trainer.
