Old Quarry Lane

My walk was a bit different today and instead of continuing into the meadow and wildlife site, I decided to walk up the lane and then when I got to the gate do an about turn.

This all came about, when a few days ago I was chatting to Bob Ford, a local naturalist, and we were just saying, that even though it's good to have those long walks, wouldn't it be interesting to see what comes to you if you were to keep to one spot for awhile. Granted I wasn't exactly planted to one spot, but the area I covered was pretty small. And it paid off with a new bee for my Port & Wey list.
