Wakeham

Today I thought I would concentrate on 3 areas in the garden to see what I could find. One thing was for sure and that was that the new flower garden is a real hit with the insects.

Flower Garden



The flower garden produced:
2 Azure Damselflies
2 Large Whites
1 Honey Bee (Apis mellifera)
2 Common Carders (Bombus pascuorum)
2 White-tailed Bumblebee (Bombus lucorum)
1 Blue Mason Bee (Osmia caerulescens)
Ichneumon sp
5 Marmalade Hoverfly (Episyrphus balteatus)
1 hoverfly sp.
1 Swollen-thighed Beetle (Oedemera nobilis)

A male Azure Damselfly

A Common Carder Bee

A White-tailed Bumblebee

I'm pretty sure this is a female Blue Mason Bee (Osmia caerulescens)

And here she is on..........
