Wakeham

The moth trap went out last night and this morning there were 69 moths of 23 species, plus 2 which couldn't be identified.

A few new ones for Portland are Spilosoma lubricipeda (White Ermine), Platyptilia gonodactyla (Triangle Plume), Korscheltellus lupulina (Common Swift) and Pasiphila rectangulata (Green Pug).

Also many thanks to Nigel Sluman and Sean Foote (UKMothIdentification on Twitter -  @MothIDUK) for ID'ing many of the others I was struggling with, especially with the following Aphomia sociella (Bee Moth), Evergestis forficalis (Garden Pebble), Acleris variegana (Garden Rose Tortrix), Eupithecia valerianata (Valerian Pug), Chloroclystis v-ata (The V-Pug) and Diarsia rubi (Small Square-spot) all new for me on Portland as well as the ones highlighted above in red.

Also 6 Ichneumon wasp sp., 1 Click Beetle and a 22 Spot Ladybird (Psyllobora vigintiduopunctata)
