A shopping trip this morning and viewed from the Jubilee Retail Park my first Pochard, Grey Heron and Little Grebe of the year, all in the reserve at Radipole.
On the way back Dawn and I carried out some sea trials on-board Star, which sadly proved there is a fuel issue as the engine kept dying. At least the birding was good, with 3 Great Northern Divers in Portland Marina and just outside the marina there was a Razorbill in the main harbour.
Here are a few images including a few dodgy photos of the Razorbill taken from the boat, with very choppy waves bouncing us around:
One of the 3 Great Northern Divers in Portland Marina
And a few record shots of the Razorbill in Portland Harbour
A bit closer and..........
...........closer still.
