Portland Harbour

Another afternoon out on Tiki, no fish again, though I did have a bite. Maybe third time lucky.

On the breakwater a pair of Rock Pipits with food, 2 Great Black-backed Gulls and some noisy Oystercatchers. On the buoys Sandwich Terns and Common Terns, whilst in The Fleet the Little Terns were on the moorings again. On the "Slow Down" marker a Cormorant was posing for the camera.

Here are a few images:

The pontoon at The Fleet with Chesil Beach in the background.

Out into the harbour we go.

Engines off and a time for a bit of drift fishing.........

...........up against the breakwater.

Dawn fishing.

Watching us from the Breakwater a Great Black-backed Gull.

Also here a pair of Rock Pipits with food.

In the harbour a Common Tern on a buoy.

A Cormorant on the "Go Slow" marker.

A nice pose for the camera.

One of the pairs of Little Terns in The Fleet. A male is offering a female some sandeels.

Another Little Tern.
