Ferrybridge

As I was watching the Dunlin and Ringed Plovers on the beach, 5 Knot flew in from the south. Also about a few Herring Gulls, 3 Oystercatchers and dozens of Meadow Pipits heading north.

Here are a few images from a dark and dismal afternoon, weather-wise that is:

In the foreground 3 Knot and a Ringed Plover at the rear.

A little closer the Ringed Plover (left) and 2 Knot

3 Knot

Do you ever get the feeling you're being watched!!

The 5 Knot in flight..........

......and landing just in front of the Chesil Beach Visitor Centre

A nice surprise as these 5 Knot came into land at Ferrybridge

Dunlin and Ringed Plover

Wakeham

Another Siberian blast from the east and a few snow flurries here on Portland. Only a few birds on the feeders Great Tit, Blue Tit, Dunnock and Robin.

Not too many birds about as the "Mini Beast from the East" hit our shores today. Here a male Great Tit gets stuck into those sunflower seeds.
