Quarry Lane, Penn's Weare, St Andrew's Church Grounds and Pennsylvania Castle Woods

A lovely start to November which was also appreciated by a few Wall Lizards I came across sun bathing in the grounds of St Andrew's Church. The Yellow-browed Warbler was still present along Quarry Lane and I came across another one plus a Firecrest in the woods at Pennsylvania Castle.

Other highlights were very few and far between with 3 Stonechats in the horse Paddock to the left of Bumpers Lane, a Buzzard being mobbed by the Jackdaws at the Grove and a few Ivy Bees on the Ivy to the right of the steps leading down to Church Ope Cove.

One of only a few Chiffchaff along Quarry Lane

I noticed a flock of Jackdaws up in the air over The Grove. It turned out there was a Common Buzzard they weren't happy about on their patch.

Not sure what this wasp is........

but it has a very long abdomen.

A Honey Bee and in comparison.....

.......an Ivy Bee

One of a few Red Admirals out in the sun.

Here's another.

And a Wall Lizard also taking advantage of the suns rays.

Now here's an interesting vessel. I tried to track it using the Marine Tracking Site Here and couldn't find it. It's actually a barge being towed from Portland Harbour all the way to to the port of Nador in Morocco Here and should is expected to arrive there on 9 Nov.
And here is what's towing it, Sea Bravo a tug flying a Dutch Flag. More Here

The barge is owned by Osprey Limited and this one is Osprey Carrier which is just one of many Flattop Barges & Marine Equipment owned by them. More Here
