Bumpers Lane area

Late morning a walk around the quarries behind the cottage. Just two warblers found a Common Whitethroat alongside Bumpers Lane and a Chiffchaff on Bumpers Quarry. No hirundines seen or heard.

Most of the action was just off Church Ope Cove with around a dozen Gannets and several Great Black-backed Gulls fishing.

The only insects found were 2 Speckled Bush Crickets (Leptophyes punctatissima)

Birds Recorded: 12 Gannet, Herring Gull, Great Black-backed Gull, Wood Pigeon, Dunnock, Robin, Blackbird, 1 Common Whitethroat, 1 Chiffchaff, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Wren, Magpie, Rook, Carrion Crow, Jackdaw, Starling, House Sparrow, Linnet and Goldfinch.

This morning, in the Courtyard of the Cottage, a very vocal Chiffchaff feeding on small spiders on the Climbing Rose. I'm not going to win any awards for the following images, all taken through two sets of windows!
